Who is Blacksheep

A leading creative hospitality design studio, with a 35-strong team of architects, interior designers and brand creators based in the heart of Shoreditch in East London. The agency was created by Tim Mutton in 2002.

Established as an interior design studio, Blacksheep has now grown organically in to a multi- disciplinary agency with three core areas of expertise: Brand, Space and Digital. The studio supports and encourages a culture of creative freedom through a multidisciplinary collaborative approach in its projects and client partner relationships.

What we do

Senior Creative
Interior Designer

We will consider Freelance, Contract (6 month min) or Permanent)

Targeted start date – July / August 19

Role and Responsibility

We are looking for someone who can create and consider the totality of an entire brand experience. The nature of our work is becoming more complex and challenging so we need someone with medium (1.5M Value) to large projects (100M Value) experience. The role entails supporting our associates designers and the senior management team to focus on establishing the brand interior narrative and successfully communicating this through the full guest experience to the studios standards and client partners expectations.

The successful candidate is expected to creatively oversee two/three projects.

There is also opportunity for internal growth & promotion which we actively encourage and would look for the successful candidate to aid in the development of those working with them also. Rewards are also given to those that show extraordinary creative skills leading to repeat work-wins and immediate team development.

Midweight Creative
Interior Designer

We will consider Freelance, Contract (6 month min) or Permanent)

Targeted start date – July / August 19

Role and Responsibility

We are looking for someone who work within a small team to create and consider the totality of an entire brand experience. The nature of our work is becoming more complex and challenging so we need someone with varied experience across both small and large scale projects. The role entails supporting our senior designers, associates designers and the senior management team to focus on establishing the brand interior narrative and successfully communicating this through the full guest experience to the studios standards and client partners expectations.

The successful candidate is expected to creatively participate across 1 or 2 projects at any time dependant on scale.

There is also opportunity for internal growth & promotion which we actively encourage and would look for the successful candidate to actively look to develop professionally their skills with us.

Senior Technical
Interior Designer

We will consider Freelance, Contract (6 month min) or Permanent)

Targeted start date – July / August 19

Role and Responsibility

We are looking for someone who can assist with the brand experience concepts and then develop these into technical submission packs for both tender and construction, with on site delivery management of the final product . The nature of our work is becoming more complex and challenging so we need someone with medium (1.5M Value) to large projects (100M Value) experience. The role entails supporting our associates designers and the senior management team to focus on delivering the brand interior narrative and successfully communicating this through the full guest experience to the studios standards and client partners expectations.

The successful candidate is expected to technically oversee two/three projects.

There is also opportunity for internal growth & promotion which we actively encourage and would look for the successful candidate to aid in the development of those working with them also. Rewards are also given to those that show extraordinary creative skills leading to repeat work-wins and immediate team development.

Mid-weight Technical
Interior Designer

We will consider Freelance, Contract (6 month min) or Permanent)

Targeted start date – July / August 19

Role and Responsibility

We are looking for someone who work within a small team to create and consider the totality of an entire brand experience. The nature of our work is becoming more complex and challenging so we need someone with varied experience across both small and large scale projects. The role entails supporting our senior designers, associates designers and the senior management team to focus on delivering the brand interior narrative and successfully communicating this through the full guest experience to the studios standards and client partners expectations.

The successful candidate is expected to assist both creatively & technically 1 or 2 projects at any time dependant on scale as part of small in house teams.

There is also opportunity for internal growth & promotion which we actively encourage and would look for the successful candidate to actively look to develop professionally their skills with us.
