Filling a blank space with authentic family bistro magic
Brand Strategy | Interior Design
How can you make a successful concept even better? That was the challenge for Blanchette when the Alary brothers moved east to Brick Lane, and south to bring North African influences into their bistro dishes.
The big step was to break up the dull, straight lines of their Brick Lane interior. We carved out spaces filled with relaxed neighbourhood intimacy and an aura of haphazard growth. Then we filled them with 'objets trouvés' and natural textural finishes, including a Picasso-inspired mural for the private dining room. Stepping into Blanchette East felt like stepping into the Alary brothers’ life story.
