The drinkers and music fans of London's Shoreditch are a jaded bunch. It takes a lot to excite this seen-it-all-before crowd. So we took inspiration from the stripped-back style of American record stores for the design of Old Street Records, Rocket Leisure's third live-music venue.

To the exposed brickwork, rough-finished walls, and dark timber we added rich details: a copper bar backed by a wall of vinyl, soft leather sofas with diamond stitching, and plenty of semi-industrial lighting. The upstairs is somewhere to unwind; downstairs is a place to party.
