Bistrot Pierre

Bistrot Pierre, a rapidly growing family of bistrots dotted in town centres throughout the UK.

For our task of evolving the brand identity, we took Bistrot Pierre on a journey of self-discovery by travelling to Paris, the origin of the bistro. There we collected a selection of Anglo-French travel ephemera, which informed a philosophy for the look and feel of the new identity.

The brand evolution involved a re-visit of the long-standing brand mark. Blacksheep established a set of two brand lockups for use across all brand material. We then set about expanding the brand to include a colour system, an approachable and whimsical illustration style by Blanca Gomez and a more deliberate photography direction shot by documentary photographer Mark Benham. The photography took on an entirely candid aesthetic in order to communicate more about the story behind the food and the experience of eating rather than focus on the food as a product. The assets were then rolled out across a multitude of marketing collateral and digital platforms including social media.
